Post Holiday Tips

We’ve all suffered from the post holiday blues. You step off the plane, most likely to be welcomed by a typically Scottish grey sky, and reality hits. Goodbye cocktails by the pool, all you can eat buffet, and fun in the sun! Getting back into your normal routine can be tough for many of us, even if you were only away for a short time. It’s important to not beat yourself up over any holiday indulgences, and try get back into your usual habits as soon as you can.

Follow our post holiday tips below to get back into the swing of things. Most importantly, don’t feel guilty, and don’t forget to book your danceSing classes!

  • Don’t feel guilty about enjoying yourself!
  • Look at photos and enjoy the memories
  • Increase your daily movement – just a brisk 20 minute walk can clear the mind and make all the difference.
  • Don’t weigh yourself immediately. That’s no good to anyone!
  • Get back to your normal eating habits.
  • Set yourself goals: what do you want to have accomplished in a week, a month, 3 months? No matter how small or large, setting goals will help you on the right path to success.
  • Schedule your danceSing classes! Why not try out a new class in your routine, such as our Strength & Stretch Pilates classes? These are FREE to any danceSing members.
