Singing Masterclass with expert Brian McBride: Musical Theatre

Your instructor

Brian McBride has worked in music education for the past 15 years in various capacities. As a vocal instructor, Brian currently teaches voice at Dollar Academy and St. Ninian’s Secondary School, East Renfrewshire. His previous experience, working as a primary school music specialist with Sistema Scotland and East Dunbartonshire Council, offered Brian a wealth of experience in primary classroom music. Subsequently, Brian took up a role as Tutor in the School of Education at Glasgow University, where he currently teaches, developing a programme of music education for emerging primary school teachers on both Masters of Education and Postgraduate Diploma in Education courses. Brian graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland obtaining a BMus and Masters in Vocal Performance. His singing career involved work at Scottish Opera, Buxton international Music Festival and Edinburgh International Festival. He continues to sing professionally and his expertise in classical technique has been an integral part to working with singers of all musical styles.
